The ballcock fill valve is crap in the first place. Just install Fluidmaster fill valve. It will take just a few minutes.

Even with a not regulated right square in just 2 steps. 😂 Inside a circle you just aling the vert of your orthogonal triangle with any point of it and then mark where the sides of the triangle intercept the circle... That's the diameter... then make it again in a different point to find another diameter and mark the point (center) where they cross... Voilà wake up
